They also should bring back the microsd slot, especially because Android 6.0 treats SD cards that are fast enough just like internal storage.

Battery is the bigger deal.

I used to hold like you on this.
I find that connecting my phone to charge to an Anker is easier than rebooting the phone while swapping a battery. it's a little bulkier than the spare batteries I carried with my S3. I take it when I am going out for long times.

You're right, but i still want that option of switching. Battery pack isn't so much worse to carry, but much more annoying to keep attached while using phone

Battery is the bigger deal.

-1. Plenty of different ways to replenish your battery especially with wireless charging. With limited memory there's basically nothing to do, especially with unreliable reception.

Someone like me that travels can't walk around with a wire connected to their phone, wireless charging is very slow and even the fast wireless charging still has its own issues, it must be plugged into an outlet and the phone must rest on it, very impractical.

I walk around with one battery in my wallet, and an external charger and battery, I never need to charge my phone.

The battery matters most when traveling. And when I do travel I can go through several batteries before being able to charge. Never mind that wireless charging is awful.
I'd much rather have a phone that works for me than being limited to 32GB of storage.

True. The edge on the s6/s6+ is basically a joke.
On the note edge it is its own screen that is actually useful.

exactly, it is easier to put a larger battery in a larger phone.

I was very hesitant before getting my s6 because of the non removable battery but I have to say that it makes no difference.  With the portable battery market making smaller devices with larger capacities it is not a big deal to plug into a charger at any time if you need it.  The whole removable battery issue is blown out of proportion for most people.

Update:  In store it felt a drop big, but I am going to go for it.

According to this Android Central (http://www.androidcentral.com/galaxy-s7-unlocked) it'll be available across all US carriers. Just as an FYI, the Moto Z won't be on all carriers, so Motorola also needs to get their act together (the Moto X Pure and Moto G4 are available on all)

Phones exploding while charging has nothing to do with the manufacturer. It's simply a hazard to charging something with a battery, as batterys explode sometimes (although rarely) while charging.

I don't an S7 to try, but this is not available on the s7? http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/skp/faq/1060822 (see Double tap to top)

If it is not available on the S7, there's no way that works universally on an Android phone, but with certain browsers, there are options for that. The best one is probably Dolphin (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser&hl=en) in which you can set whatever gesture you want shall do that, in menu>more>settings>gesture settings. Another option is with Firefox to use this extension Smarter Scrolling (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/smarter-scrolling/).

I strongly recommend Dolphin. You can add that all important feature of scrolling by web page, in a hidden (why? ) setting. Go into Features, Advanced, More and look for "Use volume key = scroll up and down by page." Once that's enabled (why isn't it default... Don't ask me! ), it's easy to just hold your volume up key and you're at the top of your page in no time.

Sometimes Dolphin gives me a "top of page" arrow automatically on the lower right of my screen while scrolling, but I won't promise it's consistent.

Hope this gives you what you need. Dolphin is awesome all around, btw.

ATT diffrence between costco and ebay unlocked new phone sellers?.

The unlocked  can be a diffrence between samsung unlocked version or the seller opens the box and unlocks himself?.

If your carrier was a CDMA carrier that would cause separate differences  but since it's not I won't even get into that.

Meanwhile if you are buying a phone unlocked online it can be an ATT version which someone just unlocked  or just any unlocked Galaxy s7 which will work with any GSM carrier. Either way it should work just fine.

The other thing to note is that the s7 was built with different chipsets so depending on which model you buy....
https://www.techwalls.com/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-model-numbers-differences/

Again, either way you it will work just fine with GSM- AFAIK

This does not give a definitive answer...
What's not definitive there? here is the conclusion which pretty much says it all:

"That means you'll still be able to use the phones on T-Mobile and AT&T, but you may not get the full power of the network depending on where you're using them."

2 and 4 used to be the only ones for t-mobile, 12 is primarily for building penetration, so you will most probably not have such a good signal indoors. But the truth is that no one can tell you how it'll work out for you because it very much depends on the exact location you are at that moment.

I read somewhere that some of them have a battery problem and if you spend the time on the phone with samsung they will send you a replacement phone.
I personally don't have problem with my s7 battery, easily last throughout the day.
Try battery saver mode, I get 2 days with it on.

So just installed the new update Thursday. Didn't really have time to play with it cuz of shabbos and purim. Besides for the large drain in battery life I now have a problem with charging.

A) The phone now does not always recognize the they charger is plugged in. I have to move the wire around and put it in a certain position to make sure it charges. This was not the case before the update.

B) When I plug in my fast charger it now only charges at a slow speed. I checked that my fast charger toggle under battery in settings is on. While it is in the fast charge position, when I plug in my fast charger the toggle automatically switches to off. I can't seem to change it to stay at fast charge.

Anyone else having these issue?

Yes, reflashing with ODIN will certainly work. It will wipe the phone (and it is totally risky!)

I'm not sure what you mean by flashing (there are some things you can do via custom recovery etc.). But this is a reflash of the whole stock firmware, and it isn't riskier (but one succes doen't make it that less risky...reflashing with ODIN has the potential to totally brick your phone) than any usual stock reflash (though you'll probably have less resources with informaition since it's a new thing.)

Why should it be a difference? Buy from any reputable store and one of a brand name manufacturer. They are around fifty bucks.

Look. A 128gb micro SD card from the reputable brands just does not cost that cheap! So you can think in two directions... Or it is a moron selling stolen stuff and you are getting a steal, or it is not really from that brand just cheap China stuff. Given that the seller has only 7 feedbacks total I'd say it's the letter...
