5th wheel who joins your Hataras Nedarim half way through without asking.

Guys who claim their minhag is to do Erev Yom Kippur just to get out of sitting through it on Erev Rosh Hashono.

What if they ran out of something you ordered? Do you want to drive over only to find out that they haven't started making your order to to the missing ingredient? Or would you rather have them call you and apologize, while finding out what you wanted instead?

Out of the dozens of times that I've ordered, has never happened. And I'd gladly trade it with not having to deal with giving my number for the one time it's happened.

Now, if only they got Seamless…

Even so, what if you're calling the store from a home / office phone, then they need to reach you for anything..

Maybe for a big order. But not if I call ahead of just picking up lunch!

Many times pople order for others, (+ surprises) and then when there is some problem with delivery etc. it can take their delivery boy extra 20 minutes till they finish their run-around for the correct number. It's 26 seconds during the call that can save 26 minutes later on.

This is pickup, for crying out loud. For delivery, there's so much more information you have to give anyway.

Any improvements?

"Manage my booking" is finally easy to find.

Restaurants that ask for your phone number when you order takeout. Ever heard of caller ID?

Tech Talk / Re: Digitize cassettes

a lot of time or a good (expensive) service. it's fairly easy to do yourself, just need a line out and a good quality tapedeck into a good quality voice recorder. get a tape recorder with  auto reverse, if you're somewhere that you can go once an hour and put in a new tape.
do not do it at high speed unless you're willing to lose quality.

Thanks. Was just checking to make sure there were no better options. Guy whose tapes I'm converting doesn't want them out of his sight.

Can anyone suggest a good way to digitize cassettes in high quality?

Thanks in advance.

I didn't expect this from you.

I pushed the kids through in the carseats. It beeped. They waived us through.
