Also, didn't realize Pisa-Rome has a direct train option. Was one of the reasons I rented a car because my research said you had to go back to Florence to get to either Rome or Venice.

I believe Pisa is an hour by train
Or car. I've driven it.
Eep! You're right per Gmaps. I've been away from Italy for too long.  :'(

Doable.
1 day in Venice. I didn't bother with Pisa - it's just a leaning building - and it's out of the way.
Train from Venice to Florence. A day in Florence (or 1.5 days). Rent a car there.
Then drive the long way - through Tuscany - to Rome. 2 days in Rome. ( Jewish tour, Colosseum, etc)  Or just train from Florence to Rome. In each city a car is inefficient and unnecessary. The trains between cities are frequent, well priced and take about the same time as a car would.
Pisa is only 30 minutes from Florence so not really that far out of the way, the leaning building is famous so it's cool, Florence is just a bunch of boring museums so you only need 1/2 a day to see the Great Synagogue. #differentopinions

In the summer, do enough people go to Vail for shabbos to make a minyan?
Reach out to Chabad to see. http://www.jewishvail.com/

Wow, great report! Thanks for taking the time. The detail you go into clearly shows your interest and knowledge of the war, ships, army, historical time. It's always enjoyable to read about something the author is passionate about.

If you downgrade after 30 days from getting the AF, will it get prorated?

We're arriving around noon in DUB on Wednesday where we'll stay though Sunday. We'll be travelling with a 2 year old and an 8 month old. We want to go to Belfast to see the Titanic museum. Does it make sense to just go for the day, or does it make more sense to spend the night and come back on Friday?

FWIW there are same day return train tickets that are cheaper than a return ticket on different days.
I don't know what else there is to do in Belfast (do some research to see), but if nothing else, you can come back that night. Museum takes a nice amount of hours if you go slowly (which for a fan, makes sense). You'll be cutting it close to missing closing time of the next-door shipyard where the ship was actually built. We missed it when we went, so can't comment on how worth it it is.

We considered it, but none of the menu options had the fish types that we liked, but yeah will consider it more next time!
