Has anyone seen any source stating that U.S says not to travel to CUN? I know they recently put other parts of mexico on the list but someone told me tht Cancun was recently added as well
It's level 2:
Quintana Roo state Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution

Exercise increased caution due to crime.

According to Government of Mexico statistics, the state experienced an increase in homicide rates compared to the same period in 2016. While most of these homicides appeared to be targeted, criminal organization assassinations, turf battles between criminal groups have resulted in violent crime in areas frequented by U.S. citizens. Shooting incidents injuring or killing bystanders have occurred.

There are no restrictions on U.S. government employees for travel in Quintana Roo state, which includes tourist areas such as: Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and the Riviera Maya.

Glad you enjoyed! Used iPhone 6S. Whirlpool is $12 a person. Yep, got our free picture from the Hershey store. Yes, we needed passports aside from the baby. Coke store is the store next door to Hershey's. There's even an entrance way to walk from one store directly into the other.

Two questions. 1. how big are the Chabad food portions they send to your hotel? 2. When going to Isla island, we want to rent golf cart then drive to dolphin area, Where do you park golf cart?
Nice sized portions. We had leftovers for lunch the next day.

Noga if you want high-end or Eastside Kosher - the local kosher grocery store has fresh pizza, wraps, salads and sushi for takeout.
Never heard of Noga. Is that on the same level as Noi Due?

It doesn't work like that- you need to have saver available on or else KAL can't book it at all, for any price, unfortunately. In general it's a good idea not to transfer points to an airline until you confirm saver space is available with the airline your flying and then checking with the airline you're booking with that they can see the space to book.

Why does home field advantage play such a large role in Skeleton, but not as much in Bobsled or Luge?

Dag Dag is under R' Druk.
Upthread R' Druk gave his 2 cents on Red Heifer.
Thanks, but strange becuase I asked him if it was still under him and for his thoughts on the other places and he said, "For the most part all the kosher places here are fine and have a hashgacha. but i always suggest you meet the mashgiach and decide based on that. As he is the eyes and ears of the establishment." I understand the hesitancy to answer about other places, but if Dag Dag was under his supervision, I'd think he would give a more straightforward answer at least for that one.

Can't find him upthread re: Red Heifer, my searches aren't helping.

Does anyone have information on Kashrus? Rabbi Druk comes with recommendation from Rabbi Eidlitz, but R' Eidlitz doesn't know anything about Red Heifer, Dag Dag or Cafe Maya. And R' Druk has not given me a clear answer on whether the restaurants are reliable. If you ate there - can you please share what research you did to find out they are reliable places?

I have the companion pass, and booked a companion for a flight taking place in a few days. The website says, "The Member and his/her Companion must check in together and present the Companion Pass in order to travel." Will that be mailed to us? If yes, it most likely won't get to us in time. Is this a problem?
I have never been asked to show my companion pass. Yes, it does get mailed to you at some point.

Has anyone been to the Maya cafe on Isla Mujeres (or the chabad restaurant there) on Friday lunchtime? Their facebook page and the google landing page say they are open until 5 on Fridays, but when I try to call the various numbers listed to confirm, the phone is disconnected. tyvm.
Did you go yet that you can report back if they're open?

Why don't the halfpipers do the big air runs? It seems like the tricks being performed in the big air are nothing compared to 1 trick in the halfpipe.

So I have an 8-hour layover in DUB, so let's say 5 hours to do stuff.

It seems that the hop-on-hop-off bus is probably the best thing to do, especially considering that I don't drink.

Any other suggestions?

ETA: Apparently Malahide is a pretty little town near the airport which is supposedly worth a visit. A car for the day isn't that expensive, so that may be an option.
Would you still enjoy the Jameson/Guinness tours even if you won't drink at the end?
I've read that Trinity college / grounds are nice to walk through plus their library is a famous place to take pictures of. Also seen that a car ride/train out to Howth is a worthwhile nearby coastal area to see (think there's a castle there too). I feel like you might be the type who'd enjoy Kilmainham Gaol (old prison).

Posted this before, and on Spain thread as well, but reposting now closer to my upcoming trip to see if anyone else might want to weigh with some helpful advice on this. I emailed the Gib Community website about Shabbos meals but have not received any response. Seems awkward to solicit a Shabbos meal invite but apparently this is how its done in Gibraltar. Yet, how do I make this happen?
I have seen reports of people being invited to meals when they showed up in Shul as the community knows when there's a stranger/guest in the back of Shul. Also no need to post in 2 different threads :)
