so my CC was shutdown Friday (coming from compliance department "no reason will be given"). my wifes accounts should remain open?
Ask for a reason with in 60 days(may need written) . And if not given with in 30 days
Being that as per the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, any adverse action from a lender must include an explanation, (along a credit score used, and access to a CR) if they don't give a reasonable explanation, definitely file with the FTC/CFPB and maybe your state AG as well. I wonder if in such a case where you are denied your rights you have a better chance of reopening.

Take them to arbitration and ask for damages. Leverage that to get accounts opened.

Dan wrote on the DDMS post: All About Mileage Expiration And Transfer Options For 58 Loyalty Programs: Ultimate Points Chart, Keep Points From Expiring, And Bring Them Back To Life! that "If you have a Miles & More credit card and use it monthly, then your miles will not expire."

Do you need to spend on it every month?

We have already established that facts and numbers are not his strong point.
Wrong. Sorry, I do not agree with you about the DOW, which in this case from 2000 also took 8 years to catch up to the 2000 highs.   The Nasdaq and S&P are what counts, on which exchange are AAPL,AMZN,TSLA,AAPL,NFLX,GOOG  etc traded?.  And the SPX represents 500 of Americas largest corporations, who cares about the DOW, it represents 30 stocks, it does not represent the market, only naive investors ask what did the Dow close at? Professionals will be quoting the SPX and NDX.  Just my humble opinion.  :)

NDX chart 2000-2016   16 years is a lifetime!!

Thatís how it worked for me. No joint checking/savings correct?

correct. I'm an AU on some her cards and V/V but otherwise separate
Hey thanks! Agreed  ;)

I just wanted some nice guy like you to point me in right direction.
Some of that info might be outdated.

With many chase cards thereís the 5/24 rule. Important to keep in mind if youíre applying for any of those & youíre under 5/24 to do them first.

Feel free to ask in the Misc Credit Card Questions thread anything on your mind.
Regarding which cards to keep & pay AF & which to cancel it all depends on which youíre gonna be using all the time & what the points/miles are worth to you.

Oh no, a thread for bad puns? (a redundant redundancy, if ever there was one). This thread is going to quickly become the most ignored thread on DDF.

Anyhoo, here are a few:
