I could be wrong, but as best as I can tell, you no longer need someone to send you a penny in order to send money from GW.

Correction - I created a new account and it showed the send money button without having to send a penny to it. But now when I went back into it again, the send money button disappeared and I had to send a penny to the account. Sorry for the confusion.

I am hesitant to post any information here about tricks and stuff as this is being monitored by Google, but the game is not completely over yet.
