Highchair recommendations?
« on: September 28, 2011, 11:36:21 AM »
We're looking for a high chair - what are your recommendations? I could use info on things like cleaning ease, sturdiness (my son is on the active side), how easy it is to open/close, and, of course, your personal opinions!

I have the Chicco Polly.  It is an awesome high chair.  there are different options, the one we got came with a vinyl seat which is great for leaning, you can just wash it down.  the straps come off pretty easily which is alsp good for cleaning.  It also comes with two tray inserts which is great for milchigs and fleishigs.

It is very sturdy and can fold flat up against the wall when not in use.  It is also able to go higher and lower for different stages.  All in all, it is an awesome highchair.

we used the graco contempo
we loved it
it folded up so easily and took up no room and it had all the functions of fancier high chairs but was only 119
you could also move the tray with one hand which was good

I have the Boon Flair and I loove it!!! Cleaning it is a breeze (just wipe it down in 2 seconds!!) and it moves around the house very easily.

It's worth every cent! No more  food encrusted padding on big and unwieldy highchairs for me!!!

+1... i got mine 4 just under 100$ and i love it. easy 2 clean, reclines, big tray... only problem is, its very big when opened... so if your looking for a smaller chair- u shud prob go with the wooden ones (svan, stokke) they think highchairs are supposed to be the size of full table and chairs...  good luck!

We got this Safety First when it was posted on DDF during the holiday sale. Still only $45 or so. We originally planned on using it as a backup to our "fancy" high chair, but loved it so much more and use it as our every day high chair. Comes with 2 trays, as well as wheels for easy mobility around the kitchen/house. The padding is easily cleaned in the wash. Definitely recommended.

My inlaws have that one. A little bit too flimsy for me but definitely as a once in a while use at the inlaws you can't go wrong
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Not sure what you mean by flimsy... True it's not a piece of wood (seen those, would worry about baby hitting their head on it.) I know ppl seem to like the Boon Flair but to me they seemed quite flimsy. We have a very active baby K"ah, and we never had to worry about her being in it once!

The table looks a bit small??

unless you're serving Flintstone Ribs it's been plenty big for us.

Boon Flair is pretty much the best thing for babies since cheerios :D
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
