Starwood Amex 10,000 and 15,000 more than once

Everybody talks about "churning" cards and getting the starwood amex bonuses of 10000 and 15000 many times, but in the terms of conditions on the cards it says "Bonus Starpoints can only be received once per Cardmember, regardless of the number of Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card accounts the Cardmember may have or had."
That seems to indicate one per person, not per card.
Could people please comment on their experiences........

 where did you read that people were able to get the 1st time bonus more then 1 time per type of Amex SPG CC?

I know it cant be done with the DL, bout all they do is either offer 5k or the difference between what you already got and the new amount. eg you got 10k and now its 20k , so they will give you 10k to make a total of 20k, but if you got 20k already the most you can expect and sometimes not even this , is 5k

 I never tried churning the SPG CCs but do know a couple of people who tried and they got 0k and told they alreday received their 1st time bonus. I can think of maybe 1 way to get it but it depends how Amex checks up on if you ever got it already. Some Banks use the acct # of the Carrier to check, those that use your SS# or name catch you 1-2-3

There have been some reports of successfully churning the starwood amex- mainly the Business card. As always this is a case of YMMV.

I have been able to earn the 10,000 Starwood signup bonus on multiple occasions, but it's just a matter of luck and if not luck the ability to talk a rep into giving it to you.

The 15,000 spending bonus on a new Starwood though is for sure churnable.

Does anyone know if the 15000 bonus will be credited if you spend it within 6 months of receiving the card? Official rules say of card approval, but the card wasn't active for the first month.

Meaning do I have a better chance at getting the signup bonus a second time on the business or consumer? or does it not make a difference?

after i signed up for the card i was flaged with FR i didnt use my card for the first month (until they opened it) now its 7 months and with this month i reached 15k   will they give me the bouns?

Call them up and explain the situation to a manager.

I signed up for a business card 2 months ago, spent $ and paid my first bill and got 10,000 points. How can i 'churn' it? Do i just open a new card with a new business name? and just forget about the first one? Or do I open a new account with same business name?

I was able to churn the Business Card - they posted the 10k , then took it away the same day, then I called again, played dumb and it posted again the next day. I'm going to try the consumer soon. Is there an ideal amount of time to wait in between?

Does the Starwood AMEX business card give the $15,000 in 6 months bonus and if not, did it ever in the past?

It does but I think there are 2 different applications out there, 1 with the bonus 15K and one without. Make sure to use the correct one and save a copy of your application with the bonus offer showing. I didnt save mine and I had to fight for my bonus. To be honest I didnt even remember for sure if I used the correct app so I just called a few times and they ended up giving me the 15K as a "goodwill gesture" or something like that, in increments of 12K and 3K.

Anyone have experience arguing with AMEX for the 15K bonus even though they used an application that didn't have the bonus listed? Anyone successful or unsuccessful?

I tried. It seems i signed up with a friend refer friend get 5k points promotionand not the 15k one. They for some reason gave me 15k sign up points instead of ten. When i called about the 15k bonus for spending 15k they said its not part of my signup bonus. I prob could have gotten something out of them but they mentioned that i had already got 15k for signing up, plus i had convinced them earlier to give me 5k for addind on two cardholders.

The reason you got 15k points, is because the refer friend program on the Amex Spg card was so messed up for the last few months, that they were actually mistakenly giving the 5k referral points to the person who signed up for the card, instead of the person who referred him!!
  I would assume you signed up between Dec and Feb, and that if you look at your bill you will see 10k listed as the sign-up bonus, and 5k for member-get-member.
