Transfering AMEX Points into Mileage
« on: July 13, 2009, 02:00:23 PM »
I have 100,000 amex points and have a blue and green credit card. I would like to cancel the green since it has an annual fee. If I do, I will not be able to transfer the points into mileage, therefore i would like to transfer the points now but do not have any travel plans in the near future. What is the best mileage program (maybe one that gives bonus miles upon transfer) for me to keep the miles in? I would be interested in international travel in the future.

Thanks

I would go with Continental personally, but you can definitely make the argument for Air Canada, Air France, or Alitalia.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Will any of those give me bonus mileage? I noticed some of your past posts showing some airlines giveing 125% for transfering. Is it worth waiting for a deal to come up?
