@reed,  your info  is a bit off.

First of all,  it doesn't need to cost anywhere near  100k for an MBA.

2nd of all,  as MarkS already stated, there are plenty of FDU graduates that hold the same positions at "big4"  as others that went to other more expensive,  non-shortcut programs.

FDU masters in accounting program does not include short cuts. (I'm not referring to the quality of the teachers) The hours and subject matter is the same as taught at most average/decent colleges.

1. Quick search of Wharton, Columbia, NYU cost of attendance for MBA ranges from 64 to 68k a year. So ya an MBA can cost you well over 100k. Sure you can find cheaper but those are generally worthless.
2. MBAs don't work in the Big 4, and if they do it's not in the same roles as the grads from FDU accounting or any accounting in particular. If your goal is to be an accountant at a big 4 then the FDU masters is accounting can work. But that has nothing to do with an MBA.

BAIS

Think of the BAIS degree as exactly as it is, a degree from a weak school with a weird strange major. So it depends what type of grad schools some it will be fine and some not . Law schools for example just want to see a bachelors degree with a high GPA and a high LSAT score. They are very numbers driven, and like to report that Thier avg Gpa is 3.8 or Wtvr. They don't care where the degree is from for the most part. That's why lots of ppl got into top schools with the BAIS degree.

I used it to finish my degree a few years ago. I remember those classes as being a joke and not really learning much.

If you want to work as an Actuary a masters degree is not required. Just pass the exams.

Same with any high level job.  If you want to be a rocket scientist--a physics phd is not required; just learn the material and publish some good papers.
