IMHO:

is it possible to get into a top MBA program with a BTL? Possible but not common

how valuable is a an undergrad degree from a good school? Extremely. For example Columbia undergrad can land you a job at G&S without any MBA.

how do people deal with the work experience requirement? "work for their father" bla bla. Though obviously working for a hedge find or bank will be much better.

Some schools are more lenient when applying for combined JD/LLM (as noted in the OP).

I think you mean JD/MBA. The LLM is what the tax guys go for after law school. Not too valuable by itself, but some firms (like mine) require it and will pay for it.

Very, very, few LLMs that are worth the time or the money.

I'm with you. Tax seems to be the only one, and only if your firm pays for it.

However, I do have a friend that got a job out of it, so, as always, YMMV.

Tax is the only one, and even then it's only arguably worth it from a couple schools, e.g. NYU, Georgetown.

Of course, but is it worth 50K for YMMV? Eh.

Definitely not worth the money. However, they do give scholarships, so it's only a question of time. The above friend of mine got a full ride. If you don't have a job anyway, it's probably worth the YMMV.

I agree -- if you get a full ride from NYU or Georgetown (or perhaps a few others if you don't have a job), it'd be worth the time.

...if you want to do tax :)

Can someone recommend a good/cheap program for learning Medical billing/coding from home?

Is a "degree" necessary or is it just a course?

Any info is appreciated!

@CBC
No degree necessary.
You better pay someone already 'in the line' to train you.

Hope this is the right thread.
I moved here from Israel for half a year ago and got a green card I have no high school deploma.
I went to an american yeshiva so I actually have around 72 credits (don't remember right now could check if nessesary).
Now that I can study in america I would like to get a degree.
So my q. Is what do I need to do now? Do I need to do a GED? Or under graduate school? Or will colleges accept me without it?

learn in BMG, complete your BA and then you can go for a Masters.
