you can make parts of the pot hotter. it will soon go back to even but for the moment the part right next to the element will be the hottest

true. i was thinking it might apply even for  a chshash of any mleches shabbos when cooking. might not be true but if not then you shouldnt need a blech for a crockpot as there is no chshash shema yechate there either assuming the issur of highering the temp. isnt aish

You are making new gezeiros that chazal never said. Making a crock pot higher is most definitely havara. That is part of the gezeira. That you may do something which makes a section of the water hotter is not.
