Being that you get 15k back for every 50k transferred, it actually ends up being just under 43% bonus.

I just used Aeroplan, and had to pay $643 for YQ. that sucks.
But we could see that without Continental competing, they have no intention of making large bonuses.

I disagree.

Mini RTW and US-Australia via Europe and Asia with two stopovers using Aeroplan is much sweeter.
Granted to avoid fuel surcharges, you can't include LH (which is normally the go to to TATL) but it still can be done.

You're correct, It's 30% of the MR rebated via a cert, effective like 43% bonus on your Delta transfer.

But if they'll go the same way they did the previous time, that they granted the vouchers after the promo ended, so technically you won't stay with more than a 15% bonus. Because say 200K Amex gets you 200K Delta, and by the time you receive the voucher you won't have more than 60K and that won't grant you anymore bonuses, so you are staying with 260K which is a 15% bonus.

Actually you've redeemed 140k amex and got 200k Delta.

The only difference between this type of bonus and the straight bonus transfer is, now you require mote points to begin with.

Can you give some more details on the US-Australia via Europe award - I once tried to do it and it had to be routed via Frankfurt I think.  So if can't use AC or LH how would that work?  Sample itinerary if you know of one offhand?

I saw someone offering to place his certs from the last promo in your account, so I would imagine that they are totally transferable. And @ajk: it should be 12 months to payback advances.
