Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

How do bags work on a 'mixed' award - say for example I book TLV-TXL as one award in business and TXL-JFK in economy. Would I be able to book the business number of bags all the way through to JFK, or would I have to pay extra for that?

Same question reversed if stating econ and then in business - would I be able to check business number of bags starting in TLV, or would have to pay extra for TLV-TXL portion?

You would allowed to bring as if your flying biz the whole way.
As a side note there is no J on the TLV-TXL route

Ahh. Good point. Thanks for the info.

Would that hold true if you have a small domestic US portion in J also within 24hrs? I'm guessing no...

Interesting...how can I get the rep to put it together that way :)
Also I'm guessing then no go if you book separately online? And that booking together the multiple one ways would put it on the same itinerary and possibly subject you to higher mileage redemption if two airlines etc?

Last week I booked a JFK - TXL and a TXL - TLV for my nephew.  His friend bookedd the same and then called to combine the 2 legs of his reservations.  They reticketed him and it was about $25  cheaper.

Yes, you actually can't do it before you make the reservation. It's been discussed many times here, although for some reason, it's not in any of the wikis. Not sure where to direct you. Basically, you need to pull up the ressy with your BA record locator on Finnair or Royal Jordanian's websites and then you should be able to switch it to the AA FFN.

I've been able to add AA FF# using AA.com on Avios bookings. It's a semi recent development, probably since beginning of 2015.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

It depends. If the ba account holder books their own tickets,  you need leave the ba FFN. And then you need finnair. If booked for someone else,  fix on AA website

How many seats in coach are generally open to saver awards on a domestic flight? Is it a science or ymmv?

There is no usual. Some routes are quieter & have better availability & some are just tougher to get.

I booked six seats and now would like to book an additional one. I see no availability. Any chance it'll open up?
