I recently signed up for an Airtran Barclays card using the DD link. I was suppose to get 16 points. However, when I called and asked where they were, I was told that I was only signed up for the promotion to get 2 points (that's pretty useless). Aparently, if you sign up for the world card (for 16 points) but aren't approved, they automatically approve you for the platinum card( for 2 points). Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get the 16 airtran points?
I didn't see anywhere on the signup page about getting automatically approved for a lowergrade card if I signed up for the higher one and was not approved.
