Your on the wrong forum. There are lots of people here who carry tefillin all day, even to Petra

I went in through Eilat on a Friday morning with a few friends. At the border we were in a wacky mood so we bought kafiya's and the whole Arab garb and we dressed up like Arabs! Tourists were asking us for photos and the locals went wild over Americans who wanna be like Arabs! They were super friendly cause of that. At one point at petra we were shmoozing with about fifteen Arabs at once who offered to pose with us etc! We hired a cab at the border to take us to petr a and wait for us there, as well as stop at all the sites along the way for 125 usd. Not to bad. You could get for 100 but this guy had nice van and looked honest. We were back in Israel three hours before shabbos as it was in June.

Anyone here ever been to, or transited through Jeddah, Saudi Arabia? Do you need a visa if you are transiting not there but on two separate tickets?
