I've used it a few times - it's definitely interesting, and can be useful - it's also good because it will occasionally give you a heads up if the patrons at a certain hour tend to be a bit, ah, non-tznius-crowd-type.

overall I am not impressed with Mikomos. the concept is good but somehow after all these years the wikis are not comprehensive at all. they don't seem to be updated much.

yelp.com has been more helpful.

an old friend just created a little site that is in this genre. not all that much there yet but a few helpful things. i think he plans on growing it.

Regarding starting a forum, I agree for tips and advice but in my experience people are a bit secretive when they find a good spot.
