Was at the bar in the Plaza and ran into Danny Devito.

Also, The Tea Lounge in Park Slope http://www.tealoungeny.com/about.
Nice. Never heard of this place.
1) Will I typical bump into other frummies there?
2) how's the noise level there?

Guilty on both counts. I remember the old Tea Lounge (on 7th) before the frummies discovered it and before it was all commercialized (this goes back like 8+ years now), I used to go all the time.

Don't know if this remains true but when I was dating, the Sofitel on 44th was a good place to go without bumping into anyone (watch out for IMF presidents though ;))
If you don't care why would you comment?

Did it in the FCT in FRA.
Wasn't a date though...but mighty fun.

Luckily they drive you to the plane...

Got the idea from a friend in CLE who I stayed at for a night who pulled out some whisky and said, "look what i got from the FRA FCT!" ;)
so I'm guessing you just jacked a whole bottle(or more) from the cigar lounge's untended bar I thought of that but there were always ppl in there

Out-of-the-box shidduch date ideas
« Reply #69 on: January 28, 2013, 06:06:40 PM »
The places people go for shidduch dates:
  • lounges
  • starbucks/other cafe
  • barnes & noble
  • bowling/pool/mini golf
  • dave & busters/other arcade place
  • pottery
  • board games: loaded q's, ungame, pictionary, etc.
  • out to eat/dessert/ice cream
  • musuems/zoos
  • walk/window shopping

These places are all legitimate and depending on how they are done they can be either typical and boring or fun and interesting.

The point of this thread is for the truly creative ideas. Anyone who has a really wacky, far-out, original, etc. idea for places to go on a date please post.

Thanks.

Will only work if you are over 18 (I know some people date really early).

Either that or you have to bring a kid  :o
