1500 UA miles for any GILT.COM purchase

Not sure if this has already been posted, but I received an email with an offer to receive 1500 UA miles after first purchase on GILT.COM

This is NOT targeted. Says in the T&C:

"This offer is not limited to members who received this email; however program registration with Gilt Groupe at http://www.gilt.com/united is required. Registration can be closed at anytime without notice."

Anything really, really cheap on GILT?



Here are the full T&C:


1. A member can earn the 1,500 bonus award miles for their first transaction with Gilt Groupe. Registration with Gilt Groupe is required to earn this bonus.
2. A member can earn 5 award miles per one U.S. dollar for any transaction with Gilt Groupe in the first 6 months after registration. Registration with Gilt Groupe is required to earn award miles with Gilt Groupe.

for arguments sake 1500 UA= ~$25, if you see something for $50, you can get a 50% discount. not sure what they sell though

saw something a few weeks ago for 27$ but again like Steven said its almost what the points are worth,
just to lwet you know I keep on getting emails from them daily on all the special things they sell so beware [same with vente-privee]

I called 1877 280 0545, s/o picked up quickly, and told me that United informed them that it takes 6-8 weeks to show.

Also, FYI, they have $25 referral bonus for first purchase (didn't see any minimum).
Btw that and the current 1.5k UA miles and the 5 miles per dollar spent, this could be a decent deal.

think about it...they are both referal links one from ua and one from u... u can make 2 separate accounts but cant get both in one purchase
