I ended up buying two lowes gift card ($100 each with different pp cards)
I plan on buying amazon gc's with them in lowes. I hope they allow it.

Lowe's CS told me that they don't allow it

I tried today and the system didn't let. Now I'm stuck with 2x $100 Lowes gc's

If you buy something and return it I'm assuming you can't get gc's with the store credit either?

AFAIK store credit gc's and gift card gc's are the same thing, although,  I do hope I'm wrong!

So how about try this.

Buy something worth around $210. Pay first $10 with a debit card and then after that the gift cards. When you go to return ask that everything be put back on the first card  (If they don't want to do it initially mention you don't have the gc's anymore and maybe they will just debit to your card rather then issue new gc's)

If that doesn't work you can try buying 2 things each worth around $210 and putting the first $220 on debit card and the rest on gc's then returning each item separately and each time hopefully they will put it back on the first card (the debit card)

If you do end up trying one of these methods please let us know how it goes

Second off all, it will say clearly on the receipt that I used a gc for $90 of the purchase,  wat makes u think they gonna be willing to put everything back on the first card?

a little searching turned this up

I bought a pair of pliers at Lowes a few weeks ago with the remaining balance on a gift card and the rest on my normal AMEX card.

I ended up returning them because they were a POS, they of course threw the original gift card away because it had no balance and i didnt have my receipt so i had them look it up on my AMEX card.

Well instead of giving me back partial store credit, they returned the full amount to my AMEX card.

How bout this; I buy an item for $100 with gc. I go return it without receipt.  They gonna wanna give me store credit. I'll ask them if instead of store credit  if I can make an exchange.  The exchange will be for an Amazon gc.

Using a store credit gc to buy an Amazon gc won't work bec the computer won't let. I meant to say I will bring an Amazon gc to the return counter and just make a swap. -(without first getting a store credit gc)
