To signup for credit cards you can click here or on the “other credit cards” tab on top of the DansDeals logo banner to view links for card offers. Then just click on the link to “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

I don't have time to deal with it now. I wasn't complaining, just commenting. I would think after all their customer acquisition costs, they would at least try to keep the ones the already have.

Oy :(
Ever heard of HUCA?
It's too late for HUCA. Once they close it, they close it. AnonymousUser, you should have said something like, "I was thinking of closing it. Is there anything you can offer that would make it worth while keeping open?"

I think he was saying that instead of listening to the rep and closing it he should've HUCAd to get a rep that would offer retention.

Like I said, I don't care so much about whatever they would offer. I don't have time to deal with it now. I was just commenting on an interesting experience I had.

Or you could try this:
way to get the annual fee waived
spend on the card more then the annual fee and pay it. for them its for the annual fee but for you its for your purchase. after getting the miles go ahead call in to get your annual fee waived by telling them that you will anyway get it back if you close the cardwithin the first 60 days :P

I think he means if you finish the spend and get the bonus within the 60 days, you can ask retention to waive the fee since otherwise you would just close the account and get it refunded anyway since you already got the bonus.

Good point, I forgot that. So if you spend a drop within 60 days, you can then threaten to cancel.

Not cancel, but downgrade to the non-AF US Airways card.

Wouldn't it be better to cancel anyways? This card is churnable - that beats the A/F waived.

Guess so. Unless you fly with them frequently and want to get free baggage.

Anyone who had an old Hawaiian card with BoA have it appear as closed on your Barclay profile? Had it on a couple accounts today.
