Pulls from TU in NJ, NY , FL , PA

Recon 866 408 4064 (might pull from Experian)

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

The credit score that this card gives you as a perk is from which credit bureau?
IIRC Barclays has their unique formula for calculating scores so while the information may be based on your Transunion report your score may be different than your true Transunion score.

IIRC Barclays has their unique formula for calculating scores so while the information may be based on your Transunion report your score may be different than your true Transunion score.

IIUC, while the T&C section below would seem to indicate that you are right that Barclays calculates the score themselves based on the TransUnion report,  since it is a real FICO, it would have to be calculated using one of FICOs formulas.

Quote
Your FICO® Score falls into a range from 300 to 850, is calculated based on TransUnion credit data, and is offered solely for your own non-commercial, personal review, and benefit. Your FICO® Score is not an endorsement or a determination of your qualification for a loan or credit. Credit score models and score ranges may differ by lender.

It's a joke. Relax. There's a blogger who writes out everything with circles and arrows that's not too popular because he kills deals.

Just called and got the AF waived. Rep told me that I would lose the benefits and not get the 40K and then said let me see what I can do and put me on hold. Came back and said she was able to waive the fee. I just paid my bill as it's due in a few days and then hopefully the credit will be on the next statement. Will wait a few days and then check my US account to see if I actually got the points.
Just got an email that the 40K posted. Checked my account - and they're there! Woohoo!

Better to create new account number first, they can find your original number and link it together.

I PUTPAC, told Relationship Mgr that I thought I saw on the app page 1st yr AF waived. She spent about 5 min looking for notes on the account, came back negative, and proceeded to open a ticket on the matter. Gave me a case # and said I should hear back in 7-10.

A very nice Rep called me back after I tweeted, and apologetically told me that since they are giving me the 40k, they cannot credit the AF.  She also mentioned that they did just waive the AF on my M&M but US Air is more difficult. :-\ :-\

Should I give up?
So today I look at my statement and see the AF has been credited!  8) 8)
