Saw a thread once about MS from the US Mint, Fishy selling his fish tank, or having United call YOU, but can't remember where it was? This is the place to ask!

I'll give you 1 guess who's job it is to find everything that gets lost around the house every day. And no "search" option available there. :)
Can you find the batteries my kid took out of the remote yesterday? I looked for 30 minutes and had no luck.

Is there somewhere a discussion on having  too much credit and how to cancel/ lower lines without getting the banks nervous or affecting my credit score too badly.
(Between my husband and myself, I just added up all our credit lines.  To my horror, I found that the total approaches our annual income.  I want to be proactive and lower our credit lines before the banks notice this.)

Lowering your credit will only really be an issue if your credit utilization goes up. If you keep your outstanding credit low when it gets reported, it shouldn't be an issue.

I just cal the bank and say: please lower my credit line on these cards?
Or do I cancel cards to lower my total line?  If that's the way, I'm going to have to resist the urge to apply for new cards to replace them.  And I'll have a hard time/ big decision which ones to chose.

You can ask to lower it.

Is there a master thread to break down info about credit scores? How they are calculated etc.
