. I think the rabbis said that you can't Due drugs bec it will lead to mixed dancing. Not shaving your beard.
Doesn't everything have to do with mixed dancing.

I think we all need to just show acceptance...in the world of outreach the saying goes along the lines of...love the sinner not their actions.

Actually there would seem to be a large difference between the two, IMHO.

Again, it didn't bother me even before seeing this video.

Now that I've seen it, it bothers me even less. (For those that are curious, it's a bit later than 40 secs, though.)

He gets nailed on an ice-skating rink, hits his head, gets knocked unconscious, and has a bizarre dream where Matisyahu is an African American.

That is something with which I can agree. But, as I am sure you agree, just because something is used by "plenty" of people should not make it acceptable solely on account of that fact.

For all those complaining how Matisyahu is going or going to go "off the derech" bec he shaved, you should open a popular sefer. It's called the "Chafetz Chaim". In the sefer, he explains how, when, and why it's assur to degrade other Jews. And please don't come up with the ridiculous notion that Matisyahu is not religious bec he shaved, and bec he's confused, and bec of whatever other reason you want to come up with so that you can talk loshon hara about another Jew. It's assur, and that's the reason that we're in this golus.

I've been avoiding posting my opinion so far, but I'm sorry, the guy is practically bragging on twitter and his website about shaving his beard. Is it really L"H to discuss it? It's not like he did this quietly...

What if he bragged on twitter about not keeping shabbos or putting on tefilin, because there are just too many rules would some of you (AJK et al) feel differently?
