Dan, do you have a stopover in la on your way back from Hawaii? If yes how about an la DO. You'd be amazed at how many ddfers there are here

We had an informal LA DO, but it just happened by the sheer amount of DD'ers at a sholom zocher my host brought me to in May...figured it was time to leave when the DD crew was attracting a bigger crowd than the host ;)

IY"H I have a feeling I'll be in LA a couple times in 2012.

We could get such a large crowd to pay cover from the local hotel programs...heck...maybe they'd pay you to give a 'shiur' as part of their entertainment...maybe not...you'd probably show how all the folks shelling out $$$$ could do it next year for a fraction of the cost! :)

Depending on how many people you may not want it, but Mexikosher gets pretty good reviews.

Otherwise, normal places are: PKD, Jeff's, La Gondola, Shilo's (they have a private area in the back if you have enough people), La Seine (definitely pricier than the rest)

Any other suggestions?
