Point and Shoot Cameras

Where can I purchase a point-and-shoot (digital) camera for a child heading to camp? I don't want to spend too much. It seems prices went through the roof since the pandemic and selection went south.

I need to purchase this ASAP, so any tips are greatly appreciated. Either online or in the five boroughs area.

Nothing to do with the pandemic. Cameras went the way of mp3 players and basic phones. Only frum people need them and we are not a huge market.

The lower, the better. $100 or less would be great. But a bit above (low 100s) might also work.

The standard Canon Powershot style cameras got a little fancier and are now in the $300-$400 range. I heard that there are really decent cameras available on Amazon from no-name brands for the $40-$60 range, but I don't know which ones, so maybe ask around a little more.

I have no experience with this, but it's on sale for $40 and it has 4.4 star review average. Doesn't have optical zoom, but I'm not sure if any of the cheap ones have these days.

You can get used Cannon ELPHs on ebay for ~$150 or Mercari for >$100.
Check the specs on each one.
