GV may still need data to actual work but it def doesn't call over the internet. The question is if it does via Hangouts which I believe it does.

It needs data like you said but shows it won't work unless I have data.

I don't mind it needing data. I just don't want the actual call to be over data. I've been searching for weeks on and off. If anyone at all has any fixes I'd be very appreciative.

Or does anyone have acess to an older version that I could try downloading ?

I guess I'm not. I use an Android device. While it seems like it is possible on an Apple device it's way too complicated for me.

Any other thoughts ?

Does anyone know how to disconnect a caller after making a 3-way using Google Voice for me it seems the only way to end the call is to hang up from all the people you're on the call with and call back whomever you need, doesn't seem there's a way to just hang up one of the participants?

Does anyone know if my google voice number should ring to cell if I have only wifi connection? (I have hangouts installed) But doesn't ring to cell only the forwarded numbers. How do i have it ring to cell?

In the Hangouts settings is the box that says incoming calls checked?

It was not, checked it and working, (interesting because online it was checked i had to do it from hangouts on the phone). Thanks.

yes. Just set it up at Google voice on a computer

They still require a forwarding phone number.

Which ever way you get a gv number you will need to activate it at least once by using another number.

you can port a number in from, use that number to verify then have it ported to GV without a forwarding number.

Under settings there's an option calls and then an option incoming calls, deselect the option to ring on your device.
