Applying for Multiple Cards - Hard Credit Inquires
« on: November 04, 2009, 07:13:22 AM »
If I apply for the AA World Mastercard and then a week later apply for the business card, will that result in two hard credit inquires or only one since they are both from Citi?

Same question for the KeyBank deal. If I open both a business and consumer account, will that result in one or two credit checks (yes, they do pull a hard inquiry for opening a bank account for some reason)?

ps- Dan why didn't you open both a business checking and an individual checking with Key? I called, and they told me you can get the bonus for both.

Not if you use Dan's trick- which I haven't tried yet- am I wrong? Will that result in multiple checks?
Also, I was asking about Key Bank or any other bank when aplying for things close together- do they utilize the same credit report or pull it each time?

In a nutshell, the answer to your question is Yes & No!
Yes, it's possible to remove Hard Inquiries from Equifax and Trans Union. And, No, it's NOT possible to remove a Hard Experian inquiry.
