hey im looking to rent a car soon in LA, under age 25 would like to rent a convertable of possible
any suggestions?

anyone have corporate account for ALAMO ?

You should check out the new young renter promotion from Hertz @ http://link.hertz.com/link.html?id=19947&LinkType=HZLK&target=specialoffers/index.jsp?targetPage=under25feewaived.jsp. It'll save you from the any monstrous surcharges you may have otherwise encountered trying to rent under the age of 25.

Try @west rental car. Does the hertz promo allow under 21?

You can rent under 21, however the promotion waiving the surcharge only applies to renters 21-24.

After further research, I've found that you can only rent between the ages of 18 and 20 if you are located in New York, Michigan, and the Province of Quebec (the differential being $41 a day on vehicle classes A-F). The surcharge is waived on all 21-24 rentals, however you must still be 25 in order to rent some Prestige/Fun classes. Hope that clears everything up.

Use the Chabad corporate for Enterprise, go for a full size, then when u get there, they usually have loads of convertibles witting in the lot, just ask then to upgrade, they will prob give it to you for another $5 a day or something. Ive done it b4, rented a jeep wrangle soft top convertible in fll the same way, they take you to the lot and give u a choice of cars usually and tell them u want the convertible, Chabad is a business account, so, so far Enterprise has always been really nice to me.

I got sweet price from west side volvo 10 min. From lax watch out they close early.

ok guys now im looking for the CHEAPEST rental feb 24- mar 1.
....age 21-25-- got a corp account....

im not too happy cuz the prices went from $150 (last week) to $350+ (today)
of course i didnt bother making a reservation cuz i didn't realize prices go shooting up like that!!....well now what do i do?

??
(now i made a few reservations jus in case)

the biggest bummer is that its a WEEKLY rental...if id come in a few hours later (feb 25) it would be a 4 day rental 'special' @ only $180!!...............

anyway please tips, suggestion, and help is really appreciated!!!! (i haven't really ever rented a car...)

Always worked for me, but to be safe, call in on the day of ur flight and say u got delayed and tell them to save the car for you, they will. But remember that when u check out they have the time u got there on the card, not the time of ur reservation, other wise they will make u return it less then the 24 hours u would normally get!
