Just booked with flying blue miles a ONE WAY delta flight. I called later to add the infant and they told me it costs 300$ for the infant (10% of $airfare).. I told them i can just purchase a ticket for chpr for the infant (using points) and we came to an arrangement that we made a fake return flight (went onto Delta.com and found the lowest usage of miles  for a certain day and figured it would be the chpst price) and in the end it cost the infant 100$. Was this the best way to go about sumthin like this? And the agent told me if i call up after ive flown and tell them im not using the "return" flight i will get back airport taxes from the infant...

A friend of mine is flying to aussi using AA miles. Flying Qantas. When he asked about INF they said about $600.

He called me and I got it for him for $224

+1 to travel agents ;)

Going to share with us?

I actually didn't book that ticket for the child because I don't know that 'in' yet, but I know it can be done (my boss did it) and only a travel agent can do that.

Most travel agents are not so interested (if they know how to do it) to do just this. Usually they want you to book another ticket as well so they ca make some money.

Anyways just putting this on the table for people future needs.

About a business clad. Ticket if anyone can tell me a rate they got with Qantas and dates (if the flight is in the future) I'd be glad to post a price we can get.

Or if you would like to do a sample one give me the dates and qoute and I'll let you know ours :)))

Thanks it's not relevant anymore, because that person purchased rather a regular flight already, since he couldn't get any savings on miles.
It was around pesach season, leaving 3 days before and returning 3 days after.

I don't get it, why would the taxes be so high? It should be 10% of the lowest coach fare offered at the time?

You are not the only one.
They rep couldn't explain it to me either.
Even if they'll charge 10% of the miles based on the 3cpm rate + 10% of the fare it will still not come out that high.
