Which miles are good for hotels
« on: December 27, 2011, 09:38:28 AM »
I am planning a vacation to California, and I want to use my milage for hotels as well. I am not a Starwoods member. I have BA, AA, and Ultimate Rewards. Is it worth using them for hotels, or should I rather pay for them?

On what ratio.
Minimum transfer is 1000 points and the transfer is a 1:1 ratio.

Hyatt is great in Cali.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hyatt is great in Cali.
Forgive me for my ignorance, but do I have to have a Hyatt credit card to transfer miles to them or its just a rewards program

Is it worth booking directly on BA or AA
For JFK-LAX:
AA charges 12.5K/25K/32.5K for Y/J/F, using either nonstop or connecting flights.
BA charges 12.5K/25K/37.5K for Y/J/F nonstops. Connections and stopovers are considered additional legs.

Note that if you are on a two-class plane (F/Y only), AA will charge 25K for the front cabin; BA will charge 37.5K for it.
Personally I'd prefer to burn BA miles over AA. AA=No YQ
