Because of the LON base, I would probably saw 1World is your best bet. Both routes are served heavily by BA/AA/LY and you can earn miles between all of them (LY and AA work together, so you can credit everything to AA from all 3 of those airlines). If you can manage, I would probably keep with BA/AA because those will earn you status miles more easily (I think).

Agreed.

If you end up doing the routes more than once than I think 1W is still your best bet.

how about using *a and creding the miles of the 1st flight to aegean does that still work ?

they're pretty stingy with fare codes - but other than that still workes
