Where did you see it is expiring at the end of the month?
I saw someone mention they called Chase and it would be going until at least the end of January.

I am against collecting miles in programs where they charge massive fuel surcharges on award tickets.

But if people are indeed getting award tickets on AA without a fuel surcharge then this card could be worth the $95 fee.

Although you could also just churn AA cards for free and AA miles can be used for free transatlantic flights whereas the BA miles cannot be used for free transatlantic flights.

1- its not $95 but $75 and I think the 1st yr is Free
2- I dont know why Chase denied you except maybe cause you were applying for a 2nd CO CC within 6 months. But as I posted up thread I got the Chase CO CC back in Sept and applied and got the BA CC now, thats like 3 months. If they had a 6 month thingy they should have Denied me the BA CC

I agree with You I too dont like paying Massive fuel surcharges or any surcharge for that matter. But even I would say the heck with that if 100k is on the table, for 25k I wouldnt have bothered but for 100k I jumped in ASAP

was anybody approved immediately online for this card? for my co card it was instant but for this card it said ill get an answer in 7-10 business days?!

As far as I know most people got that message. There is a number to call that in a day or 2 you can hear a message if you were approved or not and how much of a CL. I dont have the number handy but I got it off the Flyertalk thread about this card (in the Milebuzz section) do a search there.

i just quickly skimmed through this seeing that theres so much going on in this thread

i heard about this 6 month thing just recently from someone who heard it from dan but it didnt make sense to me - im almost positive that i was once declined b/c of a 3 month thing...

and i just applied for a continental card today!

I didnt realize this (obviously) is for a limited time...

I really wanted to do this - for the domestic flights - i dont churn aa cards and this is so much easier - also to sell it would be great, & btw

i would assume you get even 2k for this - just take a look at mileage offers on european cards or mileage accural in eurpean based programs - nothing close to this

ok i just applied.

i google 2 apps chase same day and found this on flyertalk:
The missus had 3 cards and was told to reduce the credit line (which we did) and the BA card was approved. I found it strange that they did not make her cancel the CO card which we had applied for on the same day.
so i figured it would be too bad...

i got this message a 15 day message and then an email:
Your credit card application has been received and we will be sending you a response via U.S. Mail within 15 to 30 days. In the meantime, please refrain from submitting any additional applications. We will only be able to consider your first application.

so now i'm confused. 15 or 30?? first app? this was the second

and now dans here, shouldve waited.

i just spoke with them and they told me that if it cancel my co card that i opened a week ago, theyll approve the ba. now if i wait for all the miles to post with the co and then cancel it in favor of the ba, theres no way theyll take away the co points that ive earned (once they already posted) right? how long does it take for all the co bonus miles to post?
