The other thing that i noticed in a bunch of cases i read including mine and brooklyncpa is that it happened right after they approved new cards through recon
True, but hundreds of us have gotten multiple cards approved through recon, multiple times this year alone.
There must be another trigger in play for you guys.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

it has bein mentioned but wasent discussed in depth, people should pay attn, if they see a soft pull on CR right before AA , that may Shedd some light, its very possible they look out for key changes in CR, inquiries/new actts/increase in credit  you name it
note:while the 3bm may successfully minimize inquiries, still new actts will show up on the CR, as well as lowwring the score

In my brother's case, it was the fact that he had just opened a number of Chase account this year in conjunction with the fact that he had opened a number of non-Chase accounts this year as well.

They had obviously "softed" him, and decided they didn't like what they saw.

Isn't that a typical churner? I hope you're wrong...

I guess his churning crossed their unpalatable line. I think he had opened 6 Chase accounts and a number (had to be at least 3 or 4) non-Chase accounts.

And, boy did they give him a stink about his 150K UR, saying, essentially, that when the account is closed, the points are forfeited, period.

(Another very harsh aspect of Chase as compared to AmEx.)

In the end, he got them to give him 1cpp in the form of a check.

All this is extremely scary to me, considering what my CRs look like. I hope you're missing something.

What if I wasn't referring to anyone and it was just a general addition to the convo?
