Maybe try calling Global Tours? He seems to have discounted hotel deals, but maybe they require a flight purchase?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Here a small recap. 27-30 Dec

Ramada 140 USD/ bed only
Plaza     220 USD/ B+B         shabbes meals about 60 Dollars a meal
Kings Hotel 150 USD/B+B     shabbes meals about 25 Dollars a meal

Thinking about going thursday night to the Ramada (only one with indoor spa and pool) and moving shabbes to the Kings. Anyone ever stay there? What are the rooms like, I can get a deluxe for +24 Dollars. Sice food is very important ;-) how does it compare to the Plaza?

Thanks

What does fine mean? Big difference to the Plaza? A good meal or average? I dont know the exact prize, but when I book friday night stay online, I can pay 150 USD for a room with Breakfast or 200 Dollars for a room with halfboard, that means incl. Dinner, so the friday night meal comes out to 25 Dollars each. How much are the meals regular, if there is no big difference then I will go to eat shabbes lunch at the plaza buffet.

plaza meals are in the range of $75-100. i personally prefer the food and ambience at the plaza, but the kings is not a bad option by any means.

Ok, I finally booked
Thursday night in the Ramada 167 Dollars incl. breakfast (arzeinu tours) online it was 150 without breakfast. That was the easy booking

Friday night
Now here comes a real good deal. The kings was 142 Dollars for a regular room and 159 for a deluxe room with breakfast only. I called the hotel and shabbes meals are 55 Dollars a person. But if you book online at www.prima.co.il you can select a full board option, that means dinner and lunch are incl. The deluxe rooms are only 254 Dollar for 2 people on full board.
As a prima club member (sign up online, takes 20 seconds) 5% will be deducted by check in and the room should be upgraded. So I will have a Shabbes for 2 people in a deluxe room (maybe jun. suite), all meals incl. for 241 Dollars, thats not bad.

Moze Shabbes

The plaza is owned by fattal now. I signed up a long time ago for their newsletter. They have a special offer for that moze shabbes 783 Shekels, Bed/breakfast (incl Vat) I booked that online (through special link), at the hotel they will deduct the VAT as I dont have to pay it as a tourist. It comes out to 190 Dollars, a good deal as well.

I am coming in for a weekend with my wife from Switzerland, now that easyjet started flying from BSL to TLV prices went down. I paid for our 2 tickets incl. 2 suitcases and priority boarding 165 USD a person

3 hotels in the same area in 3 nights doesn't sound like a vacation to me.

i agree. deal or no deal, if youre in israel already spend your time there. not constantly packing up, moving, checking out, checking in etc.
i guarantee that from the time you start packing up motzash, check out of of the kings, either walk over shlepping your suitcases over king george and down the steps (or driving and looking for an elusive parking spot) and checking in at the plaza, it will take a lot more than 2 minutes.

Plaza has a pool & is near the Kotel, but i guess its too pricey.
