Nof Arad (by the dead sea)

That's the name of the hotel? Funny, I've never heard of it. Wonder why...

Is it nice?

Hi everyone!

nyone have ideas or contact numbers, I am looking for a place to go for Shabbos. I want someplace not too far from Yerushalaim, like Netanya... something like a tzimmer, within walking distance of a beach great..

Thanks!
the ramada recently opened a new all suite hotel in Netanya. It's not cheap but looks nice and has a spa.

Nir Etzion is unbelievable but about 2 hours north of Jerusalem....well worth the trip! Food is amazing, atmosphere is as Shabbosdik as it gets and it's sooo relaxing...

Thanks for the recommendation! But is it still so pretty, now that the Carmel Forest burnt down?

Just wondering... which room type did you stay in? I called, and they say only the "Garden Deluxe" rooms are available for the weekend I want, and I'm a bit wary of rooms that are not in the main building at any hotel. I can't seem to find any pictures online... do you happen to have any from your stay there?

Does anyone else have any opinions about this hotel? Or pictures?

You wont need the area around the hotel....the grounds of the hotel itself are just stunning and relaxing beyond belief! What price did they quote you? I so want to go back...

I stayed in those rooms...they were just fine nothing fancy but comfortable. Why stay in a standard hotel building which will be bustling with kids when you can stay and relax in the garden area...?

Yes, it ain't going to be a Hyatt Suite but I don't think you'll be disapointed. You'll have a fine time.

Have you been to Kibbutz Lavi? How would you compare the two? TravelDealIsrael quoted me either $339 or $359, I don't remember which, for Nir Etzion. Once we're paying that much money, we would rather have amazing accommodations, not just average-but-comfortable ones...

Do you have any pictures from your stay there?

Unfortunately, no pictures handy. Lavi is nice but I think the atmosphere is better at Nir Etzzion. I'm not sure how much nicer the main building rooms are...IDK..it's your call...on a short Shabbos there isn't much time to be spent in the room...enjoy the hotel.

Okay, new question: last time, I was looking for a "Shabbos hotel". Now I'm looking for a weekday hotel... for Sunday night of Chol Hamo'ed. Are there any hotels up north (i.e. near Teveria) that anyone can recommend that a) are nice, b) have a sukkah (and preferably mehadrin food, but if not, we can bring our own), and c) a minyan for Shacharis? Thanks!

why not kibbutz lavi?

Because they want a whopping $450+ per night, per room. Contrary to what the people running the place seem to think, I ain't made of money. ;) So I'm looking for alternatives...

Come to think of it... maybe they're talking about the old Ron Hotel? It's located on the "metuzuda" (citadel) of Tzfat, they were closed for a really long time (perhaps doing the renevations you mentioned?), they were mehadrin kosher IIRC...

I would like to go to The Carmel Forest Spa November 30th for 1 night, they are showing no availability online. Does anyone know of a comparable place or how I can get a room?
