In Jeru believe it or not, there are more yidden staying then other places.

However, I don't believe SPG is losing on free nights. Point have for sure a value to them as well.

*W never owned a Hotel anywhere in Israel

as for Yeru which Hotel do you think would be interested? I dont see any that would be willing to climb on board. nor can I understand a reason for any of them to want to, its really a loss cause for them with the amount of reses for free nights vis the amount of paid bookings that would come thru SPG

That is not a valid reason for not joining SPG.

I spoke with a former manager at the Sheraton Jerusalem about all the free night redemptions and they were fine with them.
When the hotel was 90% occupied they were reimbursed at nearly their full rate for points redemptions.
When the hotel was not full they got much less, but still it was better than having empty rooms.
For Cash and Points they never receive much money, but those are capacity controlled, so no big deal.

Now the management fees may be too high to justify for a hotel with an already high occupancy level, but the free nights is not an issue.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

OK that maybe the case with *W but not with Marriott. 1 of the main reasons the Renaissance left Marriott was due to having way too many Awrad nights coming in and very few Paid stays coming in via Marriott. So it told them they werent gaining anything by being with MR if anything they had to answer to non-owner how to run things and had to pay a bunch of fees which they felt wasnt adding anything to their bottom line

I heard the same with the Plaza that they hardly were getting any bookings off of SPG.com $$$ wise.

You got to remember theres close to a 0% of bookings due to business reasons for Yeru. Most biz bookings are for TA, thats where the $$ are made and when the Goyim will be booking via the chains website = why theres still a presence in TA for Marriott,Hilton & *W & ICH and almost everyone of those Hotels were far superior in what it offers to what the Plaza did

Unfortunately Yeru is no different then say Albany,NY just a govt town w/o any biz appeal = no *W

Are the Superior rooms those that face the Mamilla Mall and are very small = no room for a crib or roillaway bed?
