from what I understand different doctors take different HMO's. If you are in lakewood you can try calling the LRRC at 732-942-9292 for more info

When I signed up was told to go with americhoice which is now united healthcare . And yes there is a big difference. Some of them do not allow you to go to CHOP.

Find out which insurance you and your wife's doctors accept and go with that.

Best to decide on a Dr for children and wife, a find out which insurance they accept.  United Health allows people to use CHOP services (most times without a referal).  Good Luck.

United Healthcare is the way to go. Also beaware even if you get denied by the county you can still go thru the state.

When applying to Jersey care do they look at all of your bank info or just what you submit? Also how long does it take from time of application until we are insured?

They just look at what you submit, but you are supposed to send everything.

They are backed up now so it could take months until they even look at your application.

Does the amount of savings that one has a reason that jersey care would disqualify you...or is it based only on one's current monthly income?

Only monthly income, not assets, is considered for eligibility.   I wonder if they would give someone issues if they have say 100K in savings and are requesting Jerseycare! Per the t&c though, assets aren't considered. For food stamps there used to be an asset limit of $2,000 but they waived that like 2 years ago causing a big spike in Food Stamps applications....

How would they look at Amazon payments in terms of income? I wonder if getting a deposit of say 990 from AP and then having it debited the next day to pay a cc would be an issue.

Correct, the only reason they ask for statements is to see if there is any additional income.
