so what's really the problem with MR not transfering to CO if they still do to AC which books you CO ?

Because you are limited in which partners you can use with no YQ, date changes cost money, one way awards are more expensive, no redeposits within 21 days without paying a double change fee, awards like business to TLV are more than CO, no award holds, MPM is enforced, no CO expanded elite award availability, etc.

There are upsides though like cheap infant seats and 2 stopovers.

Transfer Membership Rewards points from American Express and get more Matmid points.

Now 50MR = 1Matmid instead of 70MR =1Matmid.

Roundtrip economy class ticket from JFK or EWR to TLV is now 70,000 Membership Rewards points instead of 98,000.
