Anyone have an easy recipe for chicken and rice in the crock pot? All the ones I'm finding call for cream of chicken soup.

don't have crock pot recipe but a super easy recipe is to add rice to tin with recommended amount of water and some onion soup mix. spice the chicken and lay it down in the tin. bake covered @ 350 for about an hour. uncover and spread duck sauce around. bake uncovered for about 20 minutes.

You can do just that in the crock pot and it is great. Recommend to use brown rice

I've done that but not with duck sauce; will have to try it.

Any idea how long to cook it? Also if I only have white rice, is it worth trying?

Thanks!

sorry I didn't notice the duck sauce. Leave that out. My mother used to make that sometimes instead of cholent. Chicken on bottom rice on top. An hour on high them switch to low. If you use the parboiled rice like uncle Ben's it will not be as good. Other rice I'm not sure.

completely different dishes. both sound good. if you bake it with duck sauce, you get a nice sticky and crispy skin (on the chicken and the rice)

Nice! How long does it need on low? Also, if you put the rice  on top won't some of it be out of the water?
