Was thinking of putting some pastrami with onions in a crock pot for shabbos morning. Anything else that I should add besides the pastrami and caramelized onions?

I made it last night and put it in fridge raw. I put on low in the morning. Takes time to come to temp.

Was ok. I forgot to change seasoning to compensate for salt in broth

But was it worth spending the money on broth, or is water just fine?

I didn't buy it for this. Used leftovers I had in fridge. Hard to tell. Definitely tasted beefier but was pretty salty
