Is the snugabunny still the way to go?
Anyone has recent experience with other swings that may be better?

For anyone that's interested (not me, I don't have a girl), I noticed that amazon has the Papasan on sale for $99 ($78/44% off). http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000I5Q19Q?vs=1

Enjoy.

the snugabunny looks pretty big - anything to recommend thats a little more space-saving? or is it really worth the space it takes up?

They fold up nicely when not in use.

When looking at the different options make sure to get one that plus in. We would leave it on all Shabbat and never had to worry about batteries running out.

Yes.
Do you have the battery powered one or the one with plug?

I bought the one that has a plug and the motor broke twice after 2 months.  Called up and after talking to rep for around 30 seconds she tells me whats your address well send a new one out now.  2 months later the new one broke.  Read reviews and basically everyone had this issue and called up to get a new machine.  (wrote this up in a different thread)

Other then having 2 motors die in 2 months...its a great swing. :)
It's not about the quantity of your posts.  It's about the quality.

I'm in babies r us right now, the snugabunny is huge!

I'm gonna look for something smaller like a bouncer.

It would take up way to much space in my apartment. Truth is most of the swings they had in store were too big for us, but the snugabunny is biggest of all of them.

It's pretty good, definitely very different from most swings. I got it as a gift, I can't imagine actually spending the money for it though, doesn't seem worthwhile. Do you have a specific question about it?

I saw the floor model for 130 at buy buy baby and was wondering if its better than the fisher price etc. It looks cool, question is if its better?

It's the type of thing where if your kid doesn't calm down and go to sleep in the Fisher Prices, etc. you might try this and have better results. Meaning some kids might do well with either, some with neither, and some with a specific one. That's why I think it's not necessarily worth the money (though $130 ain't too bad) unless you know your kid needs that one. I will say though that if you're worried about the floor model having problems, 4moms have fantastic CS, so any problems and they'll hook you up.

Got this one as a gift about 3 moths ago and love it...

The seat is very very soft, the swing locks so that you can use it as a regular bouncer or seat, has 5 speeds (so far the lowest speed works perfectly, and now that my baby weighs more we just bumped it up to the 2nd speed), it runs silently, and doesn't take up alot of room. (seems affordable too, but got it as a gift)
My office buzzes to the JewishMusicStream!!!

My siblings want to buy us a swing as a baby present, my sister has the snugabunny and loves it-so they were going to go with that.

but then i saw this

http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Zen-Collection-Cradle-Swing/dp/B0011MQLNQ/ref=sr_1_6?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1385327385&sr=1-6&keywords=baby+swing

on amazon and cant decide if its better or not...
the swing removes (although not a real bouncer), and the base folds up to take up less space when not in use...
i think those (or any duo with bouncer) can be big help in israel...

anyone have any experience with the fisherprice zen, and/or advise?
(list price is  double- but on amazon its even cheaper then snugabunny,
amazon reviews on snugabunny are a little better, but on fisherprice the zen is better)

You'll never fold it. It will always be in use until it's put in storage
