I actually ordered the purple from a marketplace seller I saw on Amazon (Traveling Tikes, I think) for $200 because my wife wanted that color and I hadn't been able to find a different color at a large enough discount to be worthwhile. They called the next day and said we don't have purple, you have 3 options. Cancel the order, take orange, or wait a few weeks and we'll give you the 2012 model (priced $50 more than 2011 model) in purple for the same price. So while I'm sure the 2012 changes aren't anything crazy, I fell like I got pretty good value getting the newer model and the color my wife wanted.
