I had an award ticket on BA from GVA-JFK. I had booked the flight in approximately June for a September flight. The morning of the flight, I receive an email to call Delta for an important message. I assumed that I would be offered to be bumped, but instead they tell me that my ticket wasn't issued because of an issue with the payment method. Long story short, after spending an hour plus on the phone with them, I was able to pay with a different credit card and had my tickets issued.

My complaint is that they waited until the day of the flight to contact me about this when they had the information for months. Firstly, it's pure luck that I received the message on time, because I don't always have data left on the last day of my international travels. Secondly, I spent over an hour stuck in my hotel room on the last day of my vacation, while I could have resolved this on my commute to or from work anytime prior to my vacation.

Do I have any hope of receiving compensation? Whom would I contact?

Airline: Jetblue
Flight: JFK-LAX
Class: Economy (points)
Incident: Came 15 minutes  before departure and door was already closed with no agents at desk. They admitted to have closing door ~minute early.
Compensation: $300 voucher (and refund of flight due to being Mosaic)

I'm surprised I got anything and happy that they essentially covered my UA replacement flight that I'm on now and taxis to/from the airport.

You got some real luck. I would not give you anything since you came late. The gate closes 15 minutes before.

Agreed. They did admit to closing it a minute before, though, and seem to have done the paperwork even before then. And I did notify them by security that I was going to be extremely close but was there. That minute could have made a difference.

They refunded flight due to being mosaic even though you called after departure time?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

I worked w agents there. I actually got rebooked to later and cancelled that technically (after boarding ). Decided nonstop on Ua was better than connecting on B6.

What's later? That's the last flight on Saturday, no?

They wouldn't rebook you for the morning flight, and have you upgraded or waitlisted for mint for your troubles?

Too late for me. Final dest is SAN. Was gonna drive, but that would only work w sat night departure due to my meeting times. Changed to NS to SAN, and I'll be late, but not as.

I guess that's a good reason to check out the entertainment system, even if I have no intention to use it.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Not bad, I guess you wouldn't want me to hold the aircraft door open for you :)

You can get $300 off B6 for the Wi-Fi being too slow and not having enough channels on the IEF. Don't need to be IDB.
