I purchased a laptop using SPG over a year ago. It's not working right and I'd like to return it and buy a new one. I'm not under manufacturers warranty anymore, just AMEX extended warranty.
I contacted AMEX Assurance Co. and they said if I get a repair estimate, they will pay me the amount of the repair, up to the original cost of the laptop. I filed all the paperwork with them already, except for the repair estimate.
I googled repair estimates for my issue, and it seems like it will be significantly less than the original purchase price.
Any way to just return the laptop to AMEX for a refund? I want to buy a new laptop. I thought I read somewhere on DD that with AMEX, you can return items. Thoughts? TIA.
