Amex Extended Warranty

Washing machine just broke it's about 1.5 years old bought with platinum but card is closed. Anyone know if they will still cover? Also I need it fixed asap if I pay someone to fix will they reimburse me? Do I need to first file the claim?

Does Amex Extended Warranty apply if the card (Plat) I originally purchased the item (cellphone) with has been canceled in the ensuing years?

Extended Warranty /which was almost over/ fully covered the broken phone.

Call Amex for the warranty and ask about the repair guy.

I think you're covered up to the amount that you charged on your card.

Terms say coverage ends on
3. The date you terminate your account and are no longer a card member. The and in that line as opposed to an or implies as long as you still have an open Amex card your covered.
Card member is defined earlier as a person who has been issued a ...American Express card

My item still falls under the original warranty but they want $20 for round trip shipping. Is there any way to use the amex warranty to cover that?

Doesn't Amex cover that, should be an option when filing a claim, return protection has that for sure.

It is, but they cover return shipping, so I was thinking extended warranty may also

I created a claim for my dell xps laptop and Amex asked me for a Repair Estimate from an authorized facility per the Original MFG Warranty. Anyone know of a good shop in brooklyn. Can't seem to find any dell authorized facilities

Bought a phone a year and a half ago on my SPG, and closed it recently...phone broke, and they denied the claim because account is closed. Their response seems to say I can re-open the account and then it would be covered? Anyone familiar with this?

Any other options?

Anyone know how the extended warranty from the CC companies works in conjunction with any purchased extended warranties, if at all? I am purchasing kitchen appliances and am going be purchasing the extended warranties (5 years post manuf. warranty, so 6 years total). Does anyone know how the extended warranty from my CC (Chase Ink Business Preferred) will play into effect? Will i get 7 years of warranty protection, or will the extended year from my CC overlap with the extended warranty I purchased?

I'm in the process of the claim for a Dell laptop as well. Were you in the original Dell warranty when you submitted the claim? Also what was the outcome of your claim?

He's wrong about Apple Care. That's not part of the original manufacturer warranty.

I don't think there are any electronics that carry more than a 1 year warranty, but CMIIW.

Bought an $50 alarm clock from Amazon, should I ship back to company for $6 to repair or try claiming the amount from amex to purchase a new one? Or will it be easier to claim the $6 for the shipping fees?

ZTE shipped a unheard of 2 year warranty on their top tier Axon phones, with free advance exchange Shipping, even covering Accidental damage for a $80 deductable.

Shame that they couldn't keep themselves from lying to the US Govt... Twice.
We'll see if they ever get back in to the high end smartphone game in the US, and if anyone will trust them.
