Picking up infant during stopover flight is it a problem?

I want to fly from MIA to LGA with a stop over in CLE.
In CLE I want to pick up my daughter that will be there.

Will it be a problem for her to fly with me the 2nd Lag of the flight? - since she wont be on the flight with me from MIA-CLE

No, as infants need tickets for flights outside the US.

What's the hassle?  You go to checkin and get a free infant boarding pass.

I once got there without a note on my reservation that I had an infant and the woman at the jetblue counter gave us a hassle. No problem just an annoyance.

And then you'll pay 10% of the full walk-up Y fare, but sure, it should be doable.

im not sure i understand what youre saying. he can issue an infant ticket ahead of time on only half the itinerary

You sure about that?  If I'm flying CDG-FRA-TLV you can pay for the infant on just FRA-TLV?

i did it in the summer on an award ticket. i recommend trying it beforehand and see what the airline says
