If anyone realized Sprint has been having big network issues in Lakewood where one of my add-ons work. I have called to complain twice and told them that the user is in the medical field... They offered me the world... In the end I got them to let me out of the contract.

Nice. How recent was you're last upgrade?  How many lines are we talking about?

pretty recent, they wanted $750 to back out of all 4 lines (1 line was over $300 IIRC). I believe anyone in Lakewood can do this as there is a known issue there. BTW they say the issue is because they're upgrading to LTE.

Story of my life... I have no service for like 2 weeks so I call to complain and get some money back and they say we don't see an issue in your area but we con't give you a refund until the issue is fixed!! I really think it's time for Verizon.

Effective 9/1/13 Sprint is raising their administrative fee from $1.50 to $1.99 per line, is this grounds to get out of contract?

ETA: According to a thread on SD this will work.

Sprint added language to their contract in October of 2011 that the admin fee can be as high as $1.99, so anything after that point own't get free ETF (unless you get lucky).

The 2013 terms now allow for a jump to $2.50 so I'm sure that's in the pipeline as well...

I guess I got lucky :D

I told the rep I'm not okay with this increase, and the Sprint Nav which is ending 10/1. I've been a customer for 10 years (I really have) and over time my service has gotten worse (compared to whatever else is out there) while my plan has gotten more expensive, I just want out and the two cost increases (administrative fee and SprintNav) are my excuse to get out of contract. She threw the usual rebuttals at me ("what can we do to keep you as a customer") and I insisted I want out, she made me repeat the shpiel to a supervisor who waived my ETF on the remaining two lines.

Now the real question is: VZW, or T-Mobile? The former will give me better service, but the latter will be much cheaper...

Congrats!

Switching to VZW has hurt my pocket but it's such a pleasure to have awesome CS, cell, and data service.
