Your claim that it was public info is open for discussion. Just because she's tamei doesn't mean that the whole neighborhood knew about it! It still could have been discreet as much as it could be.

I don't feel it's wrong to contact airline about this problem. But I too feel like compensation isn't a given and I'm actually surprised TPG  posted the story thinking the airline did some horrible thing.
