best way to invest money

I have a few thousand dollars that I'd like to earn interest on. What's the best way to do this? I'm not looking to get into stocks. I'm talking bonds, cd's, ibonds, etc.

I can put the money into an account where I won't be able to use it for a while so that's not an issue. Thanks

I will second that, i also have a few thousand to advance, plus if you have even better options although you can't take out money, that would be helpful!

The torah says you should keep your money in 33% cash 33% investments and 33% real estate.
I know that's not really possible with a few thousand but just putting it out there

why not the bank direct deal? you get 1000 aa miles for opening a mileage checking account and an extra 1000 if i refer you (pm me your email address) and you earn 100 aa miles for every $1000 in the checking account per month. basically if you value an aa mile at 1.5 cents, youre making 1.8%

What is an ibond? Is it the same as a regular bond? Better?

they average it out over the month, so its got to be there the entire month
