Priceline Car Rentals

When renting a car with Priceline, if I pay with my CC does that mean I'm covered by insurance?

Has anyone had experience with bidding on priceline rental cars?

I just did one and saved 44% off a rental.

(I got a on airport location, at Avis)

I currently have a midsize booked for this upcoming Saturday night to Tuesday afternoon for $98 at FLL.
 
Is it worth trying Priceline to get a lower rent?
 I don't rent cars too often and when I do it's usually in Israel so I don't have any experience using Priceline for cars. Is there any negative to using PL?

Who does the billing? Priceline or the rental agency?
Inasmuch as PL in not a rental agency per se, the CC coverage will not apply.

just make sure you calculate the taxes as well, some airports the taxes are as much as the daily rates (depending on the daily rate of course), see how much your reservation is per day with or without tax & then try priceline, you can try it again 24 hours later...
I have seen Costco Travel cheaper than priceline...

It's true, I just got an intermediate car in Florida for $112 for 5  with Costco and Priceline didn't come close.
